State Leaders

State Leaders are on-the-ground advocates for election innovations in their home states. The situation on the ground is different in each state. For example, some innovations happen in the state legislatures while other changes can happen at the ballot box.

Hawai'i Testimonials

"I recently EASd from the Marine Corps where I served as a Judge Advocate. While in law school, I took an elections law course, which was eye opening to say the least. The rules and systems that govern our electoral system quite literally shape our democracy and therefore they are of fundamental importance to our society. That said, the primary system in particular, which was neither contemplated nor covered by the drafters of the Constitution, has become in many instances where elections are decided. While this is one of many issues ripe and proper for electoral reform, I particularly agree with VPIs stance on that issue. I would like to continue my service and hope to do my part in making our democracy that much more resilient and representative by volunteering with VPI."
